Official Beginnings: The SEA-Teacher Opening Ceremony in Lingayen

Yesterday was the opening ceremony for SEA-Teacher Batch 6 at the main campus of Pangasinan State University (PSU) in Lingayen. The journey took about an hour and a half from the Bayambang campus, where we are staying. For this special occasion, we wore our traditional Indonesian costumes; I proudly wore a Songket from Palembang. During the event, we also had the opportunity to go on stage and perform.

The ceremony was lively, featuring various dance and song performances from both PSU and SEA-TVET students. (SEA-TVET is a student exchange program specifically for engineering internships within ASEAN countries). The proudest moment for me was when we sang 'Indonesia Raya'. I honestly don't know why, but I got goosebumps hearing our national anthem resonate in the Philippines. After the ceremony concluded, we processed our student ID cards. Now, we are officially part of the PSU community!
Once everything was finished in Lingayen, we headed back to Bayambang to rest at our dormitory.
